In the Research & Development department, I am excited by the diversity of challenges: from developing systems for controlling megawatt batteries to energy-efficient IoT devices. I appreciate close cooperation with other departments, as it is precisely the combination of different areas of expertise that leads to the best and most innovative solutions.

Our work
The field of sustainability and innovation at GEN-I combines strategic, developmental, and regulatory aspects of energy. We monitor and understand the framework in which the energy market operates and ensure that our operations comply with the European Union's sustainability goals and standards.
We have already demonstrated our innovation and ability to adapt quickly to changes in the market and beyond, which has been key to our rapid growth and success in the market. As a result, our products have won awards for innovation in various competitions (Bronze Regional Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia for the best innovations of 2025, Award for Energy Efficiency in Transport and Logistics 2025 by Finance newspaper). We do everything from application development to the use of artificial intelligence in electricity price forecasting.
Together, we plan and implement agile innovation projects that will enable the company to adapt to market changes, encouraging each other to think creatively and foster an innovative mindset throughout the organization.
