GEN-I is part of the “EV4EU” project

24/01/2023

The share of electric vehicles on our roads has been on the rise. According to estimates, electric vehicles will replace internal combustion engine vehicles to a great extent by 2040. Therefore, numerous projects are under way that aim at introducing more electric vehicles in terms of smart charging, users, smart cities and network. This is exactly what the EV4EU project is all about that GEN-I is also participating in. It will enable the successful exchange of data between a vehicle and its environment and the successful exchange of energy from and into the network.

The EV4EU (Electric Vehicles Management for carbon neutrality in Europe) project brings together 22 partners from four different countries with the aim of facilitating the mass introduction of electric vehicles using V2X technologies. The role of GEN-I is to manage and implement a demonstration project in Slovenia, the aim of which is to demonstrate and analyse the contribution of V2X technologies on both commercial and private buildings. In the framework of the project, the Slovene partners are going to analyse and demonstrate the impact the mass use of electric vehicles has on the network, the contribution of electric vehicles to a better and more stable network as well as how to make the most of V2X technologies (vehicle-to-everything).

More about the project is available on the website.
